Azion Console
A complete redesign of the design and experience of Azion's management console — a complex B2B platform for developers and engineering teams serving large companies such as Caixa, Magazine Luiza, MadeiraMadeira, Renner and other leaders in finance and e-commerce. The interface was fully redesigned to make clearer, more consistent and efficient how users deploy, protect and observe applications at the edge.
Designing clarity for a global-scale edge platform
Azion Console is the interface where developers configure applications, publish workloads, protect environments, and operate technical resources across a global edge infrastructure. As the platform grew, the experience started to concentrate more flows, rules, and responsibilities, making clarity and consistency product requirements, not just visual decisions. The work started from that need: progressively redesigning the console experience, organizing complexity, reducing inconsistencies, and creating reusable patterns to bring design and engineering closer together. The new foundation needed to support product evolution, speed up feature delivery, and make a technical platform easier to learn, operate, and scale.

My role
For five years, I served as the lead designer for Azion Console, collaborating with a team of more than seven senior designers and with product, engineering and API teams. My role was to help transform a technical, complex platform into a clearer, more consistent and scalable experience for developers and engineering teams. During that period, I designed and evolved multiple areas of the product, including WAF, Object Storage, Edge SQL, Home, Plans, Billing, Metrics, Rules Engine, Deployment, Workloads, Digital Certificates, Environment Variables and Edge Functions. I also led and supported interviews, research, documentation, onboarding, help and support flows — connecting product vision with real-world usage and the technical constraints of a global platform.
How to let users manage their database, run SQL queries and get a complete overview
Problem
Need to develop an interface for a product that only existed via API, enabling greater observability.
How we solved it
Create a database view that let users inspect schemas and rows and run complex SQL queries. Each view designed as a productive workspace for developers to work and make decisions.
An interface that brought confidence and encouraged adoption of the SQL Database product.
How to optimize the product workflow?
Problem
The traditional handoff between design and engineering is sometimes unnecessary and slows decisions down. In a technical product that kept evolving, translating intent only through static artifacts created rework, heavy dependency on engineering, and a gap between what was designed and what shipped.
How we solved it
I worked as a Design Engineer inside the product, bringing interface decisions closer to implementation. In Console Kit, I contributed components, patterns, and code-adjacent refinements alongside engineering, so design intent could travel farther into what shipped.
Faster delivery cadence, less friction between design and development, and stronger fidelity between the designed experience and the interface in production. Engineers could stay focused on product logic, while the interface layer moved forward with more consistency.

In retrospect
Designing Azion Console was one of the most important experiences of my career. I worked on a highly innovative product, pioneering in our region, dealing with real challenges of infrastructure, performance, security and developer experience. I also learned a great deal alongside extremely capable people, with deep technical expertise and genuine commitment to evolving the product.
The experience brought me even closer to development, APIs, infrastructure and how the internet works end to end. Working on a platform used by major customers expanded my sense of product responsibility, since every interface decision had to consider technical context, operational impact, scale and trust.
In retrospect, I would have invested earlier in decision documentation, interface patterns and shared experience criteria across design, product and engineering. Azion Console changed how I think about design for complex products: clarity doesn't mean artificially simplifying a technical product, but organizing complexity so users can make decisions with more confidence.
